The QI Facilitator I possesses knowledge of fundamental quality improvement concepts; and is able to apply the techniques of system design, project management, continuous quality improvement (e.
g.
, brainstorming, cause and effect analysis, root cause analysis), and outcomes measurements with minimal coaching or oversight.
Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) 1.
Collaborates with quality team and business owners to coordinate quality improvement activities, identify appropriate resources needed, and coordinate schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.

Participates in the development of regulatory and committee reports summarizing QI programs/activities and their success in reaching established goals.

Contributes to the education and training for leadership and team members relating to quality improvement concepts and organizational initiatives, which address gaps in knowledge, competency or skills among internal team members.

Utilizes established NCQA regulatory benchmark guidelines to determine quality gaps within the organization and provides suggestions for improvement programs to departments and quality team.
5.
Assists with the ongoing development of organizational quality improvement infrastructure including; identification of organizational QI initiatives, tracking of project evaluations/studies, and tools and resources for project monitoring.
6.
Contributes to the development of recommendations for QI Leadership Team regarding performance gaps, program implementation, and performance outcomes in order to maintain an effective QI Program.
7.
Establishes effective working relationships and maintains communication with department sponsors and quality improvement team.
Supervisory Responsibilities Leading:
Self Experience Qualifications Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience, at a professional level, in process/project management including participation in quality improvement projects or operations.
Preferred Experience Prior experience in the health care setting preferred.
Education Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or other health care related field from an accredited institution preferred.
Professional Certification Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Certified Professional of Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), or other recognized quality improvement certificate preferred.
Drivers License Required No Knowledge Requirement Foundational knowledge of project management techniques, basic tools of continuous improvement, and work process redesign.
Skills Requirement Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
Strong communication skills (verbal, written and listening).
Abilities Requirement Must exhibit high attention to detail.
Ability to interact effectively.
Ability to read and interpret data.
Able to perform complex tasks, prioritize multiple projects and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Successfully contribute to quality improvement projects to achieve optimal potential.

$79,809.
