- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with examinations, treatments, and surgeries - Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas for procedures - Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments - Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian - Monitor animals before, during, and after procedures - Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery - Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis - Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and procedures Skills:
- Veterinary assistant experience required - Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols - Proficient in animal husbandry, including feeding, grooming, and exercise - Familiarity with pet sitting and pet care practices - Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures and terminology - Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately - Experience with pet grooming or dog training is a plus - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Note:
