The Home Equity Processor position maintains Home Equity loan processing workflows, effectively communicating loan decisions and follow-up requirements while working as an intermediary between the Members and the organization, whether delivery is through direct member contact or with Arrowhead Credit Union (ACU).
Additionally, this position ensures accurate responses to all Home Equity support areas related to Credit Union and loan account information research.
Home Equity Processors are responsible for more complex, specialized areas related to Mortgage Lending servicing, including processing all stages of services related to 1st and 2nd (second) trust-deed products.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Personally, provides exceptional member service; uses Service Standards in every work-related interaction.
Actively participates in meeting the goals of the department and the Credit Union.
Provides excellent service by using a positive and professional tone to assist members and team members accurately, thoroughly, and as efficiently as possible while maintaining consistent and friendly service.
Uses organizational tools and techniques to complete tasks on time and successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously, with the ability to give unexpected status in any of the areas of responsibility.
Service Develops and maintains positive working relationships with all ACU team members, as well as with lending vendor relationships, specifically real estate loan providers.
Acts as a liaison between the Member and branch team as related to loan products (depending on the type of loan, may require additional information).
Responsible for preparing and processing consumer real estate loan applications; the application preparation includes but is not limited to data entry, ordering credit reports, ordering property appraisals, verification of income, title ordering and verification, and reviewing loan application packets for accuracy and completeness.
Clearly communicates with all internal and external members or customers regarding the status of incomplete loan items or the requirements needed to meet guidelines set by the Credit Union.
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding and the ability to clearly explain ACU's consumer and real estate loan products and services.
Promotes credit union products and services and actively refers members to credit union partners as appropriate.
Consistently demonstrates compliance and regulatory knowledge and understanding of all mortgage products offered by Arrowhead Credit Union.
Maintains member contact throughout the loan process to ensure funding and service satisfaction while maintaining complete integrity of the data that has been entered into ACU's core data or loan processing systems.
Handles more complex projects and research issues, utilizing an extensive knowledge of Credit Union policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
Ensures all required stipulations, including Proof of Income (POI), insurance, DocuSign, and any supporting documents, are gathered and verified for loan funding and county lien recordings.
Consistently prepares and delivers loan documents:
conducts follow-ups and disburses loans.
Prepares all documentation required for processing mortgage loans depending on the type of loan.
Accurately funds Home Equity loans and completes necessary documentation based on liens, tax returns, financial statements, proof of income, insurance, flood, and first mortgage statements.
Provides direct member and 1st mortgage support in funding/opening accounts and documents audits throughout the process.
Responsible for preparing subordination requests for loan officer approval review.
Responsible for processing wire requests for first mortgage loans funded by Primary Partners.
Has working knowledge to process payoff demands and quotes as necessary.
Clearly explains consumer loan terms and conditions to borrower(s) while tracking outgoing loan disclosures.
Reviews reports, audits data, and provides timely follow-up and completion.
Accurately tracks and produces reports summarizing all applications.
Responsible for daily balancing of the department's negotiable instruments and general ledger and reconciliations utilized by the department.
Accurately balances the associated General Ledger's (GL) on a monthly basis.
Consistently maintains confidentiality of member(s) sensitive information.
Development Exemplifies the attitude, aptitude, and ability to learn quickly and efficiently while showing assertiveness in personal development.
Attends all training relative to the position and stays informed to meet performance expectations.
Completes all required compliance training by established deadlines.
Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
Maintains a proficient knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC), Secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) Act for Mortgage Licensing, Regulation CC, Identity Theft Red Flags, Regulation Z, Regulation B, Military Lending Act and complies with all loan-related laws and regulations applicable to area(s) of responsibility.
Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by Supervisor to achieve the goals of the department and the Credit Union.

Starting pay for successful applicants is generally within the minimum to midpoint of the pay range.
Our consideration for pay is designed to support career growth and development over time.
Offers extended depend on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to individual experience, knowledge, training, education, geographic location, market demands, and internal equity.
