Gerdau is currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor III for its Rancho Cucamonga, CA facility.

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing leadership guidance on establishing a productive, high performing, and safety conscious working cell environment. The major role of this job is to focus on all aspects related to safety, environmental, production, cost, quality, and people management through the continuous application of GBS principles for area/cell of responsibility.
Additional responsibilities include: ensuring the standardization of processes within the area of responsibility. These duties will include needs assessments, auditing, coaching of production/quality improvement programs and standards, ITS training, 5S improvements, development and implementation of cost and environmental control goals, development and implementation of new and current preventive maintenance and safety management processes and procedures.
Other responsibilities include:
Supervising a crew of hourly employees
Report Generation
Train and guide workforce
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical)
5 - 7 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with exposure to standardization and production quality methods
Candidate must possess mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment failure
Experience with developing a preventive maintenance (PM) structure
Experience with the development of routine structures in maintenance procedures
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
Incumbent should have a strong working knowledge of the steel manufacturing methods and techniques involving the use of heavy mill machinery and related equipment. Previous qualifying experience in scrap processing, melting, casting, rolling, maintenance, finishing, shipping/warehouse operations, and supervisory/facilitation preferred.
